Nigeria-based cement company Dangote Cement never planned to invest in setting up a cement plant with 1.5 million tons capacity in Zimbabwe, reports Bulawayo 24. However, Dangote Cement will continue with its investments in other parts of Africa .The cement company plans to build cement plants in Cameroon, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Zambia.  According to some analysts, "The real reason for a Dangote's visit to Zimbabwe was to scout for mining concessions after he had extended a loan to the government." Dangote Cement plans to launch several new cement plants across Africa
