The World Cement Association continues to grow its diverse international membership
The World Cement Association recently welcomed three new members that operate across the world in different areas of the global cement ecosystem.
KHD Humboldt Wedag International AG (“KHD”) is a global leader in cement plant and clean technology solutions, driving innovation in energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly products for the grinding and pyro-processing sections of cement plants.
They are joined by Denmark’s FLSmidth, the market-leading supplier of production facilities, equipment and service solutions to the global mining and cement industry. The company is committed to helping deliver sustainable solutions that reduce the environmental impact of cement production
The third member, with a total annual cement production capacity of over 100 million tpa, is Sunnsy Group, a pioneer of vertical kiln technology in China and one of the earliest cement manufacturers to deploy dry cement processing technology.
“With KHD, FLSmidth and Sunnsy Group, we welcome three important players in the global cement industry to our membership,” said Vincent Lefebvre, World Cement Association Chairman. “We look forward to their valuable input as we work together with our members to develop creative and collaborative solutions to the challenges we face, now and in future.”
Many of WCA’s members will be joining senior leaders from across the global cement industry in China this year for the third annual WCA World Cement Conference, being held in Shanghai on September 9th-11th.
Registration is still open, and those interested are being warned to move quickly as the visa application process for China can take some time.
