India’s West Coast CFR prices for high sulfur petcoke had a strong increase in the month of March 2017, with mid-sulfur petcoke prices expanding as well at a similar pace, according to CW Research’s India Petcoke CFR Price Assessment update for March.
The average cost of burning high sulfur petcoke is at a discount of 22+ percent in March 2017, on an mmBTU basis, when compared to Richard Bays coal for the West Coast. In the previous month, the discount rate was at 30+ percent.
There were no reported congestions at the ports around India.
