India's West Coast CFR prices for high sulfur petcoke had a marginal decrease in the month of January 2017, with mid-sulfur petcoke prices contracting as well at a similar pace, according to CW Research's India Petcoke CFR Price Assessment update for January.

The average cost of burning high sulfur petcoke is at a discount of 36 percent in mid-December 2016, on a mmBTU basis, when compared to Richard Bays coal for the West Coast. In the previous month, the discount rate was at 30 percent.

There were no reported congestions at the ports around India. The extended January update of the India Petcoke CFR Price Assessment also includes refinery and cement production in India and the United States, market and refinery updates, and more.

The monthly update is available as an annual subscription in individual or corporate license forms. For questions and orders, please contact Liviu Dinu, Market Services & Marketing Consultant, CW Group (Europe), at [email protected] or +40-744-67-44-11.
