India's West Coast CFR prices for high sulfur petcoke contracted in May 2017, with mid-sulfur petcoke prices declining as well at a similar pace, according to CW Research's India Petcoke CFR Price Assessment update for May.

The average cost of burning high sulfur petcoke is at a premium of 20+ percent in April 2017, on an mmBTU basis, when compared to Richards Bay coal for the West Coast. In the previous month, the premium rate was at 15+ percent.

There were no reported congestions at the ports around India.

The extended May update of the India Petcoke CFR Price Assessment also includes refinery and cement production in India and the United States, market and refinery updates, the outlook for the next three months, and more.

The monthly update is available as an annual subscription in individual or corporate license forms.
