Ensuring safe and sustainable building practices

{reg}Dangote Cement's Group Managing Director, Mr. Arvind Pathak, has called on professional builders to emphasize the use of quality materials in construction projects as a crucial step in preventing building collapses. Pathak delivered this message during the 32nd Lagos Builders Conference organized by the Nigerian Institute of Building in Lagos, with the theme "Safe and Sustainable Building Production Management in Nigeria."

Representing Mr. Pathak at the conference, the Company's National Sales Director, Mrs. Funmi Sanni, urged professional builders to address the issue of building collapses in their field by insisting on the use of quality materials by the artisans they collaborate with.

Sanni emphasized the importance of prioritizing quality materials in building projects to maintain the reputation of the building institute. She likened building structures to building relationships, highlighting that inferior materials can jeopardize safety and sustainability.

She also noted the critical role played by the construction industry in a nation's development and growth. While acknowledging the growth in construction activities across Nigeria, she pointed out the challenges of ensuring safety and sustainable building practices.

The call for prioritizing quality materials in building projects is essential for ensuring the safety and sustainability of construction in Nigeria.{reg}
