In the Mediterranean Basin region, FOB prices for prompt deliveries of bulk ordinary Portland cement and clinker recorded a marginal decline when compared to the previous month, according to CW Research's December update of Mediterranean Basin cement and clinker prompt delivery cargo price assessment.

Commenting on the trend, Ana Almeida, Analyst with the CW Group's European team, observed: "In Med Basin, cement exporters are optimistic towards the new year. Both the domestic and the US markets are encouraging cement traders to increase prices in the next months."

CW Research's December update to Mediterranean Basin Cement and Clinker price assessment report covers the latest happenings in the region's trading situation.

Moreover, the monthly report also includes details about shipping indices of dry bulk tendency and its reasons as well as the latest trend in the bunker oil futures.
